Shining a Light on Rare Diseases

Rare diseases affect millions, yet they often go unnoticed due to their complexity. Partnering with Montefiore Einstein, we created an immersive WebGL experience to educate and raise awareness about these conditions, likening the effort to uncovering hidden stars in the universe.

The Challenge

With over 10,000 rare diseases, each with its own intricacies, simplifying this vast subject was no easy task. Montefiore Einstein sought a digital experience that would be engaging, approachable, and visually captivating—making science and medicine accessible to all.

Our Approach

We built a WebGL-powered microsite where users journey through space to “discover hidden stars,” symbolizing rare diseases. With conversational language inspired by science books, the site turns complex medical topics into an engaging and intuitive experience for all ages.
